I: The Land of Galwenor II: The Four Clans III: The Social Order IV: The Organizations V: The Tome of Honor VI: The Game Play VII: The Rising Legends Maps of Galwenor Legends of Galwenor Wars of Galwenor Faiths of Galwenor |
These pages list the beginning ideas and concepts for the players in the Galwenor campaign. The players are all members of the Knight social order, even if he or she is not already a knight or sworn their sword in service to their noble. Most likely they will begin not having previous knowledge of each other, and perhaps even from different regions. However, the initial plan is that one will be from Dartmount in the province of Boudwin, and the other from Valedon in the province of Silma. However, both will be in the city of Keladon in the province of Boudwin. They may come up with their own reasons for visiting/staying in Keladon. To begin, players will have the first couple days as a sort of "free play" with no real development to the story yet. This can be to familiarize with the city or, if they wish, to set out on their own tasks. However, there will come a terrible storm one night that terrifies the entire city, seeming like nothing that has come about for centuries. During this terrible storm, the players are individually met by a strange cloaked and hidden figure which explains very briefly that a great disaster is about to strike this land, and it will come to the duty of a handful of brave souls to stand and fight the fate of destruction. They are then told to seek Master Lorren, an advisor of the magistrate of Keladon, who is also the overseer of the Boudwin province to the noble Warstone. If the players choose to do as the messenger requests and search out Master Lorren, they will be able to search and find him in the Forum Plaza in town, the central complex for politics in Keladon. When they explain that they were told by a strange messenger to seek him, Lorren will seem very confused, but gladly accept to hire them for a job if they wish. He will begin explaining that a band of very dangerous highwaymen have begun to attack and rob caravans headed through the mountains around the Guldune Pass. He is needing a group of soldiers to investigate and find these bandits, but he cannot send regular soldiers as the highwaymen would simply hide. If the players are willing to help, he would be able to offer them either a nice allotment of gold or a title of land around the Dartmount area. If the players choose instead to not seek out Master Lorren, then they will instead meet with the hidden highwaymen who are secretly scouting the city of Keladon. The highwaymen will instigate an arguement with the players but their commander will restrain them from a fight immediately within the city. Instead he challenges them to a fight that night, outside of town and away from the guards. If the players refuse to attend the duel, they will be restrained and brought to the place for the fight. Either by being sent out by Master Lorren to find the highwaymen or by being challenged by them, the main purpose is to get the players off guard in an attack by highwaymen. They will engage in a very tough battle, but the fight will be stopped when another very strong storm appears suddenly, and the strange cloaked messenger reappears, stopping the battle. Beside him will stand Kuzodomo, leader of the highwaymen who call themselves the Kuzo. The messenger explains that the players are the ones he told him about, and that he will leave them in his hands. From here, Kuzodomo begins explaining that long long ago he was once the king of a great kingdom in this land. He pledged to always be available to defend the land from destruction, and though he died many centuries ago, his soul rises in another bodily form whenever he is needed to fulfill his oath to protect the land. Once again, he has been called forth. He continues explaining that they have been keeping a very close eye on the leaders of Keladon because he feels that part of the great threat to the land is coming from a secret treatury they are planning. In fact, if the players were sent by Master Lorren, he believes the reason for being sent on their mission was to be sent do their deaths, intentionally sending the players to be attacked by the highwaymen and killed so they could not act to disrupt plans. However, Kuzodomo does not have the power to stop the great disaster fated for their land, as he no longer has his loyal armies and kingdom and most importantly not near his original powers. However, he has great treasures from his past still, with a great amount of power. You see, long ago when he was a king he was owner of all treasures. Two of these treasures - appearing like simple crystals - he bestows upon the players, saying that they play a great role in the fight to come. They will find their uses when the time comes. And finally, Kuzodomo charges the players with a great task. To save their realm and their very lives, the players must search for five other great warriors, each knights wielding one of his great treasures. Kuzodomo leaves the players with a few last pieces of ancient parchments, papers of his treasures. The players find that each of these five treasures are great weapons, and they must now search the land for these weapons and more importantly the great warriors entrusted with them. These knights together must band together and face a threat to their land that no normal people of the realm know about, and even the players do not know anything about it. In time, the player's entrusted treasures, the strange crystals, will become great weapons of the King as well as they are chosen as the next knight to join the Order.
