“In a world that is wrought with continual
strife, turmoil, and anger, it seems as if
there is no longer a haven for peace, joy,
understanding, and hope. But in this
world one such place does exist, and it
is known as Galwenor, the realm of Honor.”
~ Darius Warstone
Hero of Galwenor

THE GREAT KING OF DRANOR

It is believed that a couple centuries after the end of the Ancient War, almost two thousand years ago, a powerful noble led a complete reform of the entire kingdom, and unified the land under his powerful rule. Following the Ancient War, the human and elven lands had little interaction together and were still tense together. A foolish and greedy human noble attempted to attack and steal land from the elves, but the king of the human lands marched his armies and came to the defense of the elves and their lands, destroying the treacherous human noble. The elves were deeply impressed with the honor and compassion of the human king, and together developed the first strong alliance of the humans and elves in Galwenor since well before the Ancient Wars.

The human king was undoubtedly a cunning, honorable, and very wise leader, but he ensured his rulership and the future peace of the lands through establishment of the current caste system as well as several diligent laws. He also spent a great amount of his life throughout the land collecting all the great artifacts and treasures under him so that none would have the powers, tools, or wealth in the land to topple the kingdom which he had built. Many say he became the king of kings that Hiromashi sought to become nearly a thousand years before.

But the Great King's reign would end shortly after his lifetime as he never had any heirs; his own nobles and generals became hungry for the void of power left after the King's death and cut apart the kingdom into several different clans, which still exist today.

TREASURE OF ARTESIA

For centuries there has been a little rumor in the South about an ancient village sitting atop a strange large plateau in the middle of a rolling plains island. As the story goes, a powerful warlord long ago, perhaps even the Great King of Dranor, made his way to Artesia in his old age to live his final days, and hid part of his great collected treasure somewhere on the island. A few adventurers have traveled to the area in search of this rumored treasure, but no clue of the treasure or even of an ancient warlord in the region. Even locals of the area admit the entire place has been searched from high to low, but no riches have never been found.
